About Stacy-Ann Bailey

About my approach (style) to therapy…

I find it’s best to meet each person where they are in their process. Making the decision to put yourself first and make your mental health one of your top priorities means you have already laid the groundwork for your own personal definition of success. I enjoy using Motivational Interviewing skills, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Psychodynamic therapy, Task Focused Therapy, and Systems theory to support my clients.

About my background and training

I completed my undergraduate degree in Psychology at Mount Saint Mary College in Newburgh NY and my graduate degree in Social Work at the University of Southern California (USC). I have been working with youth and families for over fifteen years. Populations I’ve worked with include Victims of Domestic Violence, Youth and Families as well as adolescents and young adults.

About my work (ideal clients)

I enjoy working with all age groups and genders, providing individual, couples, and family therapy. I have worked with individuals presenting with behavioral concerns, anxiety, depression, self-esteem issues, and life transitions.

A Little About Me…

I am originally from the island of Jamaica, I currently reside in New York. I enjoy any activity that takes place in warm weather, beach days, water parks, and theme parks, the higher the rides the better. I enjoy reading a good book and equally enjoy binge-watching a series. I am passionate about giving youth and women a safe space to communicate and display their strengths which is why I facilitate international youth poetry contests quarterly as well as virtual women support groups and virtual girls support groups.
