About Sarah Doyle

About my approach (style) to therapy…

My approach to therapy is strengths-based and driven by client need and preference. I utilize an eclectic approach which combines Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Rogerian Theory and many others. This variety of approaches allows me to find the best path for you and meet you where you are in the therapy process. All of my work is trauma informed and I move at your pace.

About my background and training…

I obtained my undergraduate degree in Psychology from Argosy University and my Masters in Social Work from Arizona State University. I have over five years of experience working with a diverse population with a special focus in LGBTQPIA2S+ issues and trauma. I have designed and deliver competency training for healthcare providers who work with Transgender clients and have presented internationally on Transgender issues and advocacy. I have significant experience working with domestic violence survivors as well.

About my work (ideal clients)…

My ideal client(s) is motivated for change and has a curiosity about themselves. I work with individuals 18+, parents, couples, throuples, and moresomes! I am well versed in Polyamory dynamics and am a sex- positive/kink-allied provider.

A Little About Me…

I came to mental health work later in life and spent many years as a corporate executive prior to doing so. Becoming a helping professional is following my calling and I am most happy when I am helping other navigate their path to being their most authentic selves. As a member of the LGBTQPIA+ community myself, I am keenly aware of the nuances that can often be missed with other mental health providers.

I live in central CT with my two cats, Baxter and Abby, and enjoy cooking and music in my spare time.
