About My Approach (Style) to Therapy…
My focus is on understanding and improving relationships within families and couples. This approach allows me to view problems within the context of family dynamics and address issues by exploring communication patterns, roles, and relational behaviors. Working from a systemic perspective allows me to treat individuals within the context of their relationships as well as helps clients to recognize how family dynamics impact behavior.
About My Background and Training…
With a robust background in early childhood education and training as a Marriage and Family Therapist, I specialize in fostering healthy family dynamics and supporting child development. My experience in early childhood settings has equipped me with a deep understanding of the developmental needs of young children, while my therapy training allows me to address relational and emotional challenges within families. I am dedicated to empowering families through effective communication strategies and nurturing connections, helping them navigate challenges and build lasting, positive relationships.
About My Work (Ideal Clients)…
As a Marriage and Family Therapist, I specialize in working with families and children under 10, particularly those navigating trauma and significant life transitions. My ideal clients include parents seeking support for their children as they process traumatic experiences, as well as families adjusting to challenges such as relocation, divorce or loss. I focus on creating a safe, nurturing environment where families can explore their feelings, strengthen their connections, and develop effective coping strategies to foster resilience and healing.
About Me (Personal Interests)…
Family is at the heart of everything I do; I cherish our time together, creating memories through cooking and sharing meals. I am passionate about the arts and finding joy in life’s simple pleasures. Live music inspires me, whether attending concerts or discovering new artists. Photography allows me to capture moments and tell stories through my lens. In my downtime, I enjoy getting lost in books, exploring new ideas and perspectives. These interests shape my approach to therapy, helping me connect with clients on a deeper level.
