About Zalman Nelson

Hi, I’m Zalman. Great to meet you. So you’re looking for a therapist? That’s awesome. It takes courage to be here and you clearly have it!

About my approach (style) to therapy…

In our therapy, you’ll feel you have an active and involved partner, supportive teacher, mentor and guide. You’ll feel deeply heard and understood, as well as empowered with tools and approaches to deepening your emotional skills, building your relationship with your Inner Child, navigating triggers and overreaction moments, and transforming all of your relationships. There’s no one right way to do therapy, and the fact you show up and try is tremendous, and leads to good outcomes. See it like a room with many doors. Whatever is on your mind and coming up in life for you at the moment your journaling, doing therapy work, or in a session, is a great place to work with. It all leads to the same core issues and parts of yourself needing your attention. I want you to be able to feel you could fire me as soon as possible because you’ve picked up and practiced the tools, are seeing success on your own, and feeling more secure and confident to stand on your own two feet. At the same time, I’m here by your side as like you need, helping you further your growth, building your confidence and seeing success in all areas of life.

About my background and training…

As for me, I’m a therapist with over 14 years of online therapy work. It’s a passion of mine to use digital tools to help people learn the emotional life skills they need to handle feelings, validate themselves, learn from emotional triggers, improve confidence and communication, and upgrade all of their relationships.

And by adding inner child healing to the work, we get to the core of the issues. That way you get more effective, faster-achieved, and longer-lasting results that you’ll see soon after you start…not after months. Results that you’ll learn how to self-maintain and continue to develop. The goal is for you to fire me as soon as possible because you gained the knowledge, insight, tools, and skills to manage your own emotions and navigate the situations and relationships you encounter each day.

About my work (ideal clients)…

My training includes a Master’s Degree in Social Work from the Wurzweiler School of Social Work, where I focused on Addictions treatment and did field placement work with an Inpatient Addiction Recovery center and the 12-Step community. Along with spiritual learning and a soulful background, I see much effectiveness from drawing upon and blending a broad range of tools, approaches, techniques, and philosophies that unite to provide what clients uniquely need in order to thrive, heal, grow, find happiness and success and confidence, and stand on their own two feet.

About me (personal interests)…

I’m a family man, raising 8 children with my wife of 20 years in a mystical mountain-top town in the North of Israel. Working out the mind with reading and meditation, and working out the body, are favorites of mine, as well as entertaining dinner guests and real conversations about life that go deep into the night. I’m the author of Therapy? Who Needs It and Triggered in Quarantine, creator of The Trigger Method, and translator of GPS for the Soul
