About Rachael Pascucci
Life can be hard but it can also be beautiful.
I utilize a compassionate solution-focused approach. I seek to help clients uncover their true potential and generate positive changes in their lives. I am a believer in the power of our thoughts and that our environment and experiences greatly impact our lives. I assist clients in their healing by helping them in understanding what exactly holds them back and guiding them in the process of navigating the path forward. My hope is that you will be able set goals that help you work towards achieving what you desire in life.
Through the improvement and development of communication and coping skills, patterns of thoughts and behaviors, as well as boundaries we will navigate life with more ease and less stress, improve our emotions and mood, our relationship with ourselves and others, as well as how we react to stressors and other people. I can help and guide you to not only feel better, but to gain necessary insight into yourself and your experiences.
I help clients to understand how the patterns and content of their thoughts influence both their emotions and behavior. My approach to therapy includes a combination of CBT, DBT, mindfulness, strengths-based, motivational interviewing, and other evidenced-based therapeutic modalities depending on your need. Healing is unique to the individual and my work is always trauma informed.
I received my master’s degree in social work from Long Island University and my bachelor’s in social work from Sacred Heart University. I have worked with children, adolescents, adults, and aging-adults. I have experience in a wide range of settings- such as private practice, EAP, psychiatric, outpatient mental health, non-profit organizations, as well as within nursing and medical facilities. I have much experience working with court and justice involved clients and have an advanced NYS certificate in forensic social work at the Master’s level.
I enjoy being outside in nature and love the summer months the most. Hiking, cycling, beach walks, yoga, listening to any podcast that I find interesting, listening to music, meditation, and prayer are some of my favorite things to do. I also have a passion for holistic healing and cooking. I especially enjoy researching about the field of mental health and psychology and partake in continuing education whenever possible as my passion is truly my work.
