Lindsey Richmond, LPC-A

About My Approach (Style) to Therapy…

My initial goals in working with clients are to provide a judgement free environment, where everyone can be themselves, and feel safe to be open and honest. I often implement CBT, DBT, ACT, and other mindfulness approaches in session to help clients define their values, reach their goals, and create a better life for themselves.

About My Background and Training…

I have navigated my own personal challenges and growth, and much of my transformation has been supported by the profound benefits of therapy. Additionally, I have had the privilege of working for the past four years as a case manager and therapist with adults facing physical, mental health, and developmental disabilities. These diverse experiences have shaped me into the therapist I am today.

I am currently a pre-licensed therapist in Georgia, working under the supervision of Jimi Byrnes (LPC, CPCS). I earned my master’s degree in counseling and clinical rehabilitation from Thomas University in May of this year. I am also pursuing a PhD in Clinical Sexology through the Modern Sex Therapy Institutes, where I work under the supervision of Cay Crow (LPC, CSTS). My training and experience include working with individuals dealing with issues related to sexuality, chronic pain and illness, disability, addiction, and other related concerns. This version conveys the same information but with a slightly different flow. Let me know if you’d like any other changes!

About My Work (Ideal Clients)…

Are you finding it difficult to navigate life’s changes and challenges? Perhaps you’re dealing with issues related to sex or sexuality or struggling with chronic illness or pain. These challenges can often lead to additional concerns such as depression, anxiety, addiction, and more. I am deeply committed to supporting adults (18+), including veterans and seniors, who are facing these struggles. With extensive experience and training, I specialize in working with individuals dealing with PTSD/trauma, sexual health concerns, chronic pain/illness, disability, addiction, and other related issues.

About Me (Personal Interests)…

I love spending time with my family and my cat, Sox. Staying active is important to me, so I enjoy going to the gym and taking daily walks. I also practice meditation and yoga to help maintain balance in my life. As a lifelong learner, I’m always reading new books and articles to continue growing and expanding my knowledge.
