About My Approach (Style) to Therapy…

I aim to meet clients where they are, helping them navigate current challenges and stressors while also healing past wounds or hurts. My approach is integrative, meaning I consider not only mental health but also physical, cognitive, social, and spiritual aspects of a client’s life. This holistic perspective allows clients to better understand the patterns that repeatedly show up, helping them break free from what keeps them feeling stuck.

About My Background and Training…

Originally from the Midwest, I earned my Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology from the University of St. Thomas in Minnesota in 2012. I have been a Licensed Professional Counselor in Georgia since 2015. In 2019, I became a Certified Professional Counselor Supervisor, allowing me to train and supervise counselors who are still in the process of becoming fully licensed. Additionally, I obtained certification in Integrative Health for Mental Health Practitioners in 2021 and became a Certified Pre-Marriage and Marital Enhancement Facilitator in 2023. With 20 years of experience in the mental health field, I have worked across a wide range of areas, including severe mental illness, addiction, child and family therapy, couples counseling, and Christian counseling. I also have a special interest in working with individuals experiencing unexplained physical symptoms (such as headaches, migraines, GI issues, sleep disturbances, irritability, anxiety, and anger) that haven’t improved with traditional medical treatments or therapy.

About My Work (Ideal Clients)…

My ideal clients are those who are ready to explore the root causes of their symptoms and work toward practical, realistic solutions. By addressing these underlying issues, they can heal from past wounds, move forward in life, and create a sense of balance—not just mentally and emotionally, but also physically, socially, and spiritually.

About Me (Personal Interests)…

In my free time, I enjoy volunteering at my local church, spending time outdoors with my family, staying active through exercise, and preparing healthy, gluten-free meals. I also have a passion for Tudor English History and love exploring all things related to that fascinating era!
