About my approach (style) to therapy:
I approach therapy with an open mind and deep respect for each client’s perspective. I believe in fostering a collaborative relationship where clients feel empowered to actively participate in their own care. By prioritizing empathy, active listening, and trust-building, I aim to create a safe and supportive space for clients to explore their mental health concerns.
About my background and training:
I am a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner (PMHNP-BC) with licenses in California, Arizona, DC and Virginia. My journey in mental health care has been driven by a passion for helping individuals live their best lives. I have received extensive training in psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and evidence-based treatment modalities. With a focus on adult populations, I specialize in addressing a wide range of mental health issues, including mood disorders, anxiety, bipolar disorder, ADHD, and adjustment disorders.
About my work (ideal clients):
I specialize in providing client-centered and quality individualized care to adults (18 years and older) struggling with mental health concerns. Whether you’re experiencing mood swings, anxiety, difficulty adjusting to life changes, or attention-related challenges, I am here to support you. My goal is to help you navigate your mental health journey with compassion, understanding, and evidence-based interventions.
What you can expect from our first session:
During our initial session, my priority is to ensure your comfort and satisfaction. I understand that seeking medication management can be a vulnerable experience, and I am here to support you every step of the way. Together, we will explore your concerns, set goals for treatment, and develop a personalized plan to help you achieve greater mental health and well-being. Your journey towards healing and growth starts here, and I am honored to be a part of it.
About me (personal interests):
Outside of my professional life, I am a caring, compassionate, and self-motivated individual. I am deeply committed to making a positive impact in the lives of my clients and the community. When I’m not in the office, you can find me exploring nature, indulging in creative pursuits, or spending quality time with loved ones. As a firm believer in the importance of mental health and self-care, I prioritize activities that promote holistic well-being and personal growth.
