Elizabeth Glauber Ahern, LCSW

About my approach (style) to therapy…

I focus on creating a non-judgmental environment where you can feel comfortable exploring patterns, emotions, and experiences that may be holding you back from reaching your goals. Therapy is a time and space for you to make use of in ways that feel effective to you – whether that is taking time to talk and process experiences, or whether that looks more like focusing in on building skills and creating plans to treat specific symptoms. I will take the time to listen to your needs, and we will work together to create a plan to move you forward!

About my background and training…

After graduating with a BA in Theology from Boston College, I spent five years working and volunteering in various non-profit settings across the country. I then completed a dual-degree program at Boston College, earning a Master of Pastoral Ministry and a Master of Social Work in 2011. Since then, I have provided direct care through individual, group, and family therapy to a diverse range of clients, including children, families, and adults, in both residential treatment settings and mobile/home-based clinical services. Additionally, I have worked in the mental health field in roles involving program management, clinical supervision, and compliance/quality improvement. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of New York

About my work (ideal clients)…

My background in pastoral ministry combined with social work allows me to offer a holistic approach to therapy, integrating spiritual and emotional support. I enjoy working with people of all ages and stages in life. I approach each individual with curiosity, kindness, and support.

About me (personal interests)…

I enjoy being outdoors in all seasons, and I love spending time with my family and watching my three children learn and grow.
