About My Approach (Style) to Therapy…
I believe in person-centered interventions tailored to meet clients’ identified needs, providing a safe space to be seen, heard, and validated. Together, we will identify strengths, barriers, and goals to achieve optimal health and wellness while fostering a therapeutic relationship with a team perspective. My practice includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, solution-focused, and strengths-based approaches. Through holistic methods, I can help you overcome obstacles, focusing on change and striving for your best self, bringing you closer to happiness, purpose, and meaning.
About My Background and Training…
I graduated from The University of New Haven with a bachelor’s degree in Community/Clinical Psychology and earned a Master of Social Work from Fordham University. With over 15 years of experience working with children, adolescents, and families in outreach and school settings, I have provided individual, family, and group counseling across all age groups.
About My Work (Ideal Clients)…
I specialize in working with children, adolescents, young adults, adults, and older adults. I particularly enjoy supporting young adults transitioning to college, as well as addressing issues like depression, anxiety, parenting, pregnancy, family conflict, and grief and loss. My experience includes crisis intervention, talk therapy, solution-focused therapy, and group therapy. I practice mindfulness, integrating yoga, breathing, and stretching techniques to help ease stress and anxiety.
About Me (Personal Interests)…
In my personal time, I love spending time with my family and fur baby, going to the beach, listening to music, and traveling.
