About My Approach (Style) to Therapy…
If you’re struggling with intimacy issues, compulsive sexual behaviors, sexual shame, or sexual identity concerns, you’re not alone. These challenges can affect your relationships and well-being. You deserve a safe and nonjudgmental space to explore your experiences, break unhealthy patterns, and build meaningful connections. Whether healing from trauma, seeking control over behaviors, or deepening intimacy, lasting change is possible. “I am deeply committed to providing a safe, empathetic, and open environment where clients can explore their concerns and achieve lasting change, regardless of their prior experiences. Being a part of someone’s healing journey is the highest honor, and I strive to offer the support, tools, and guidance needed to help clients live their happiest and most authentic lives.”
About My Background and Training…
I am a Pre-Licensed Therapist in the state of Georgia, under the supervision of Jimi Byrnes (LPC, CPCS). I graduated in May of 2024 from Thomas University, with an MS in counseling and rehabilitation. I am currently seeking my PhD in Clinical Sexology through Modern Sex Therapy Institutes and works under the supervision of Cay Crow (LPC, CSTS).
I have extensive training and experience in supporting adults through a variety of challenges, with a focus on sex therapy and treating problematic sexual behavior. My background also includes specialized training in trauma-informed care, allowing me to support clients navigating issues such as intimacy struggles, compulsive sexual behaviors, sexual shame, and identity concerns. I often incorporate Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and mindfulness practices, to help clients heal, grow, and embrace their sexuality without shame.
About My Work (Ideal Clients)…
My ideal client is an adult seeking support for sex therapy and problematic sexual behavior. They may struggle with intimacy, compulsive behaviors, sexual shame, or identity concerns. They need a safe and nonjudgmental space to explore their experiences, break unhealthy patterns, and build meaningful connections. Their goals may include self-awareness, emotional resilience, and healthier relationships, especially the one with themselves.
About Me (Personal Interests)…
I love spending time with my family and my cat, Sox. Staying active is important to me, so I enjoy going to the gym and taking daily walks. I also practice meditation and yoga to help maintain balance in my life. As a life- long learner, I’m always reading new books and engaging in continuing education courses to expand my knowledge.
