Life can be hard but it can also be beautiful.
I utilize a compassionate and integrative approach to psychotherapy. I seek to help clients generate positive change in their lives and am a believer in the mind-body connection, the power of our thoughts and narratives, and that our environment and life experiences greatly impact our lives. I believe that through developing self-awareness and insight we can better understand who we are and what holds us back. I integrate modalities that utilize self-compassion, the acceptance/change dialectic, and use a combination of both psychodynamic theory and skills-based behavior therapy.
By gaining useful insight into yourself and your inner world, the life you desire is possible as is healing from both current and past struggles. I guide clients in learning new skills to rewire their nervous system and assist them in practicing mindfulness, regulating their emotions, managing interpersonal difficulties, and better tolerating distress.
By discovering what works for us, I believe life can be navigated with more ease and less stress. We can improve our mood, our relationship with ourselves and others, as well as how we approach stressors and the waves of life. Healing is unique to the individual and my work is always trauma informed. Please feel free to contact me about my services.
